The third annual Furry Friends Fine Arts Festival was held Saturday, September 15, 2018 on the lawn of the Shemer Art Center.  This fun, animal-themed arts festival featured an amazing group of juried Arizona artists (see below) showcasing paintings, drawings, ceramics, metals, mosaics and more!  There were paw readings (THANK YOU ANNE MARIE!) and pet adoptions by the Arizona Humane Society and Woofs, Wiggles & Wags (THANK YOU BOTH!).  Attendees also enjoyed music performed by Alan Jones (one of our great ceramics instructors) and food vendors with GREAT NAMES including:

Black Cat Coffee House, Short Leash Hot Dogs and Leo’s Ice Cream:

Featured artists included:  Diane Dion, Jules Gissler, David Hanson, Ann Marie Hoff, Dadra Hunt, Olena Kalayda, Christina Ray, Cheri Reckers, Celia Sislow, Taylor Kent Hudzinski and Deborah Morris.

On display inside we had a solo exhibition titled “ZOO LOGIC” by Ellen Nemetz and our BELOVED BEASTS exhibition in the galleries.

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR 2018 PARTICIPATING ARTISTS!
