Venue Rental Information

Whether you are planning an intimate gathering or a 300-guest wedding ceremony and reception, the Shemer Art Center is a unique location at which to hold a private event.  If interested, we encourage you to review the following information and then explore the opportunity to hold your event at the Shemer Art Center, in one of the many areas available on our grounds.  Typical venue rentals include weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, anniversary and birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, group meetings, retreats, luncheons, and holiday parties.  Fees include the rental of the venue only, and do not include tables, chairs or any other items.  Additional deposits and fees may also be required.

The following rates for 2024 are for rental of the venue only, and allow up to 10 hours of venue rental time, to be determined by the venue and the renter:

Shemer Art Center Sculpture Garden

The Shemer Art Center & Museum has a wonderful Sculpture Garden featuring the works of several Arizona artists. This art is showcased for sale and is here to enhance the beauty of the Shemer.  It cannot be removed or relocated for any event.

Inquiry Process, Policy and Procedures

To begin the rental process, please fill in the Venue Rental Inquiry Form and submit to for review. Once received, we will follow up with you to check your date and schedule a site tour.


Rental Agreement

Below is the link to our Rental Agreement. Once your date availability has been confirmed you can download and fill it out to confirm your interest in renting the Shemer Art Center for your private event. Make sure to read through and initial all terms, policies, and procedures included before signing.

To hold a date we require a signed agreement with a 50% deposit (plus the cleaning fee) delivered or mailed to:

Cancellation Policy

In the event that renter enters into and then seeks to cancel a rental agreement with the Shemer Art Center for any reason, the renter shall notify the Shemer Art Center in writing. If such cancellation occurs 180 days prior to the event, the 50% deposit shall not forfeit. If Renter cancellation notice is given to the Shemer Art Center between 179 and 61 days prior to the event date, renter shall forfeit the deposit and reimburse the Shemer Art Center for any and all expenses incurred as a result of its good faith preparation of renter’s event; 60 days or less prior to the event, renter shall forfeit the deposit and pay the remaining portion of the rental fee and any expenses incurred by the Shemer Art Center.
