The Shemer Art Center is pleased to announce our latest juried exhibition, LAYERS: Collage & Assemblage.
The origins of collage date back to the invention of
paper, but collage as an art form surged in the twentieth
century. Artists juried into the exhibit incorporate layering and
assemblage techniques in their process. The end result
may be collage, photomontage or decoupage in wood, paper or other
materials.
Juror, Janice Pittsley selected a total of 32 artworks from the following artists to be on display December 4, 2014 – January 1, 2015 :
