From February 15th to March 23rd, MicroDwell 2014 was not only one of the biggest fundraisers to-date for the Shemer, but also brought in over 8,000 visitors! Each weekend a new theme was presented, along with new vendors, artists and ideas – all centered around the idea of shrinking your living space and lifestyle. Thirteen teams of builders, artists, architects (or anyone with an idea) came together to construct a variety of different dwellings, all under 600 square feet. We had living spaces, studio spaces, dog-friendly spaces, outdoor spaces, science spaces, mobile spaces and even a wood-fire pizza kitchen! Below, the gallery displays photographs from our opening and closing weekends, and you can also find a list of news media and bloggers who helped spread the word about this year’s events.
