ABSTRACTING THE FIGURE with Bela Fidel

This class invites students to explore the human form in a whole new way – going beyond realism to capture emotion, movement, and meaning. Students will experiment with dynamic techniques like distortion, color play, mark-making, texture as well as bold lines, expressive shapes and unexpected colors to create work that feels deeply personal and unique. The class will explore the emotions and energy that the figure can evoke. Whether students are just starting out or looking to expand their artistic approach, this class is all about self-expression and discovery. Let’s reimagine the figure together!
