2017 Shemer Arizona Arts Festival Blazes A New Chapter

By November 7, 2017November 30th, 2018No Comments

Formerly Sunday @ Shemer, this year’s rebranded Shemer Arizona Arts Festival blazed a new chapter!  Held for the first time for two days, Saturday & Sunday, November 4 & 5 , the event featured Arizona celebrities and a wine-tasting presentation (in fact two) by Sam Pillsbury, owner of Pillsbury Wine Co. in Wilcox, AZ.  Over 40 artists were showcased, selling one-of-a-kind works of art, and providing glass blowing and pottery wheel throwing demonstrations.  We also had 13 blacksmiths at the event from all across Arizona, including Tucson and Overgaard.  Music was provided by Alan Jones and the students of City Jazz, led by director Pamela Morita.  Food vendors included Urban Beans, Mein Man, Layla’s Lunch Box and Hula’s Hawaiian Shave Ice.  Thank you to all who attended.  You helped us create new energy for this event and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!  Mark your calendars now for November 3 & 4, 2018!
