The 2024 Shemer Honors dinner gala was held Friday, November 15 and this year the Shemer Art Center honored Arizona artist, Tom Bollinger. For the past 50 years Tom has been a prolific studio artist, renowned for creating large-scale, highly conceptual works that have captivated audiences in galleries and through commissioned projects. He has also personally guided many artists nationwide, working with them to engineer, manage and produce their art for public and private art installations.

This year’s event was attended by 125 people who enjoyed a wonderful reception with live music by The Groove Machine and dinner, catered by Personal Touch Catering. A video was shown during dinner and then a short program followed featuring Tom Bollinger and a proclamation by Mayor Kate Gallego, decreeing Friday, November 15, 2024 in recognition of Tom Bollinger, urging all Phoenicians to join her in celebrating is artistic contributions to the city.

The Shemer family was here and also enjoyed celebrating Tom and his artwork.
