Sculpting Heads and Hands with Jane Kelsey-Mapel

In this ceramic sculpture class, students will learn a step by step process to create the form and features of the human head and hands. A variety of hand building techniques will be employed including modeling a solid form and then hollowing it out in preparation for firing. Students will learn basic anatomy and proportion and will have the opportunity to develop their own unique character.

Prerequisite:  Beginning level class in handbuilding
