CM-1 Relief Portraits in Clay Workshop with Constance McBride

Relief Portraits in Clay Workshop with Constance McBride

In conjunction with the Eye Lounge Collective who will be exhibiting at the Shemer throughout the summer, member Constance McBride is offering an exciting three day workshop in clay at the Shemer. Working from images or their own portrait students we will create close to life size relief portraits using basic clay construction techniques. Surface treatments and finishes will be covered so students can finish their pieces after they take them home.

Due to the nature of the firing process, pieces will have to be picked up the following week to take home and finish.

Students should bring: textured items to create patterns with, small and medium sized paint brushes (nothing expensive), and any clay tools/sculpting tools you happen to already have.

Wednesday July 1st- Friday July 3rd (3 Sessions)
10am-3pm
Class fee $195
Materials fee: a $5 fee paid directly to the instructor on the first day of the workshop will cover material costs.
