Encaustics with Bela Fidel
This class is designed for students who have either dabbled in encaustics or brand-new to the medium, and will cover an overview of studio set-up with materials and equipment, how to start a painting from scratch, fusing layers with a heat gun, developing transparent and opaque layers, and manipulating the wax to create beautiful effects. Some specific techniques that will be taught are collage, stencils, stamps, and lines and grooves.
*A $40 fee made payable to the instructor on the first day of class covers all materials.*
