AV-10 Explorations in Drawing with Agustin Vargas

This multilevel class will guide students through the use of many drawing processes and materials designed to create rich artworks layered with meaning. Students will learn techniques in charcoal, graphite, silver point and ink. The class will also cover technical aspects of preparing various surfaces such as paper, wood, canvas, plexi-glass and metal. Agustin will work with students one-on-one as they develop their personal narratives and concepts based on themes of their choosing. The fundamentals of composition and other important topics will be addressed in group discussions and demonstrations.
