Thank you to all the artists, business vendors, food truck vendors, and event partners who came together for the Shemer Art Center and helped us create the best Furry Friends Fine Arts Festival ever this year!
Yes, we do believe that changing the date provided cooler weather for the event, but it also meant that there were several other events happening that day AND the weekend fell at the start of the Scottsdale School District’s Fall Break, which meant meant many students and their families were traveling.
Those who attended had the opportunity to meet “Cruela Devil” who was here doing balloon sculptures and face painting for the kids, as well as our kids art instructors Sandy Blain, Turner Davis and Danielle Wood. We also had “pet-safe gardening” presentations by Arcadia Color Garden, a beautiful art raffle area, and dog carting demonstrations and tricks by Arizona Dog Sports! Food vendors who gave their time to our event included Mein Man Chinese food, Short Leash Hot Dogs, Leo’s Ice Cream and Chef Wade’s Organic Cotton Candy! We were also pleased to have AZ Dog Spaws on site, offering mobile dog grooming services, and of course the Arizona Humane Society, with dogs for adoption.
THANK YOU to everyone who attended and participated! Next year will be our FIFTH FURRY FRIENDS FESTIVAL and we will make sure it is FABULOUS!
