SM-02-26 Printing with Light: Introduction to Cyanotype with Sarah Martiny

Printing with Light: Introduction to Cyanotype with Sarah Martiny

Join us for an exploration of cyanotype and learn how to make your own unique blueprints using natural light. Students in this workshop will also learn about the history of this early photographic process, how to prepare the chemicals, application techniques, the use of different types of paper, and exposure times. A variety of botanical materials and objects will be provided with which to compose prints. After the class, participants will be able to confidently create cyanotypes on their own at home.

Cyanotype is an ideal medium for exploring your natural creativity. Feel free to bring your own plants, flowers, photographic negatives, lace, or other objects with which to experiment.

All skill levels are welcome.
