Georgia O’Keeffe
This lecture will celebrate the life and art of the mother of American modernism, Georgia O’Keeffe, in honor of her November birthday. Known for her iconic flower paintings and stunning depictions of New Mexico landscapes, O’Keeffe challenged the traditional art world and carved her own path with a distinct style that blurred the lines between abstraction and realism. The lecture will examine the key themes of her work, her innovative use of color and form, and her influence on contemporary art and culture. Join us and take a deep dive into O’Keeffe’s legacy as a female artist who broke boundaries in a male-dominated field, and draw inspiration from her drive and talent.
