CT-2 Basketry: Fiber and Forms Workshop with Cassandra Travis

Become a brilliant basket maker while exploring the basic fundamentals of fiber and forms. This class will teach you basic and intermediate twinning, plaiting, and ribbed forms. You will leave this two-day workshop with a better understanding of handcrafted arts and the ability to make a new basket at any given moment. With this relaxing and forgiving art form, you will be amazed at what your hands and a few reeds can do! A $20 fee payable to the instructor will cover materials, additionally students will need to bring the following item to class: Clothes pins (10+), Small gardening shears/clippers (to cut reeds), Bucket (to soak reeds).
