The Fifth Anniversary of Shemer Honors was celebrated virtually Friday, November 13, at 6 p.m. on the Shemer Art Center’s YouTube channel (where it is now available for public viewing). The event recognized our 2020 Shemer Honors Honoree Beth Ames Swartz and showcased her journey and successes over her nearly 60-year career. During the event she also provided a narrated tour of her current exhibition, Purification of the Heart, which will be on display at the Shemer Art Center until February 18, 2021.

The Shemer Art Center’s first four Shemer Honors honorees, Angela Tassoni (2016), Jim Waid (2017), Merrill Mahaffey (2018), and Bill Nebeker (2019) were also a part of this special evening, which included a silent auction.

Event sponsorships, tables and individual seats were sold and “Watch Party” baskets including Pillsbury Wine, were delivered to all sponsors and table hosts! Thank you to our all of our 2020 Event Partners, Watch Party Designers and Event Sponsors! You helped us deliver an unforgettable virtual event!
