Art in the Garden and Sparkling Tea – A Great Combination!

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2019 Art in the Garden and Sparkling Tea at the Shemer Art Center! The 25 Arizona artists on display here that day showed amazing works of art, and if you didn’t have a chance to get something while you were here, let us know and we can have them bring it into the Shemer for you! Also, a few of them are showcased in our gift shop, so be sure to let us know who you liked and if you are yearning for more! Thank you to all our volunteers who helped us execute this event, our artists who did hourly demonstrations, to Alan Jones, our musician for the event, and to Darlene Quinn, for overseeing the execution of our silent auction and for helping us, along with Rossana Gatlin, create, obtain and wrap many of the donated items!

Our Sparkling Tea event was also extremely successful with a sold-out crowd of 60 this year! Thank you nods go to Gia Venturi who helped us facilitate the artful design of our umbrella shade setting and who also contributed to the artistry of our table tea holders, table numbers and floral centerpieces. Our thanks also to Linda Ballinger who continues to introduce the Shemer to our community’s art advocates and for underwriting the Prosecco served for this event, plus leading us to some of the best chocolatiers in Arizona, XO Confections located in Peoria! And of course we could not have had a successful tea party without some amazing tea, including Earl Grey with Lavender, Tuscan Garden and Cherry Blossom, this year contributed by Kathryn Petty and White Lion Tea Company, and the assistance of event committee member Joan Friedman and Shemer volunteer Sandra Macintyre! We could not have done this without you all! THANK YOU!
