About the Event

The 2019 (4th Annual!) Furry Friends Fine Arts Festival will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019 on the front lawn of the Shemer Art Center from 8 am – 2 pm.

Once again this fun, animal-themed arts festival will feature an amazing group of juried Arizona artists showcasing animal-themed drawings, ceramics, metals, mosaics and more!

Artists selected for the 2019 event include:

Pea Argo, Jan Basil, Janet Blumenthal, Reidun Brown, Susan Feder, Melanie Frey, Jules Gissler, Ann Marie Hoff, Dadra Hunt, Francine Kavanaugh, Deborah Morris, OMG Pet Art, Cheri Reckers, Andrea Rogers, Sal Romano, Jared Trask, and Cheryl Wasar!

There will also be paw readings, painted paw prints, and pet adoptions by the Arizona Humane Society, plus live music and great food & beverage vendors including:

Black Cat Coffee House, Short Leash Hot Dogs, Mein Man Chinese Food, Leo’s Ice Cream & Chef Wade’s Organic Cotton Candy!

Businesses that provide items or services for pets, including but not limited to groomers, trainers, photographers, veterinarians and animal clinics, accupuncture, aromatherapy, massage therapy, even bakeries and restaurants with dog-friendly patios, are invited each year to participate in this event.

(Zero Waste) and the Parks & Recreation Dept., Dreamstyle Remodeling, Fiona Purdy Art, Gems 4 Paws/Gem Girl Jewelry, Hatton Pet Portrait Sudio, Hemp Health, Husse AZ, Ingleside Animal Hospital, MarthaMade, Noble Beast, O.H.S.O., Poo Happens, Realtor to the Rescue, Renewal by Andersen and ThreeDogsPenCompany.

Additional event festivities include kid’s animal art activities, live music and an art raffle, and there will be a selfie-station set up to capture photos of the day! Two indoor animal art exhibitions, plus a gift shop will complete this one-of-a-kind event experience.

Admission to the festival is $5 per person or $10 per family. Furry friends are free!
