Long-time drawing & painting student, Ann Shimmel dies. Shemer staff is going to miss our favorite student. Ann brought a smile to our faces every week as she visited the Shemer to take drawing classes from Elliot Everson or painting classes from various instructors. She was always quick with a word of encouragement and praises for work well-done. Ann was a very talented artist as well and loved to encourage young people or new people in our classes. We remember her saying once to a young talent that it is “great to see imagination at work”. We will truly miss her spirit!
