ZENTANGLE GREETING CARDS with Suzanne O'Malley

The meditative art of Zentangle will be explored in this workshop.  This workshop will focus on greeting cards that contain Zentangles. While students create the greeting cards, they will explore materials such as washi tape and scrapbooking paper.

Zentangles are miniature pieces of unplanned, abstract, black and white art, created through a very specific method, to form structured patterns on a square paper tile.  Students will see the patterns unfold before their very eyes as they become completely engrossed in this “artistic meditation.”  They will learn, through guided practice, how to develop different “tangles” that can be expanded upon exponentially. Students can expect to escape the world for a while, as they create patterns and designs that they never thought possible!
