CERAMICS: BUILDING A BODY OF WORK with Danielle Wood

In this course, students will explore building a body of work in ceramics. Students will have the opportunity to explore forms, conceptual themes, and composition in the collection of work they have made as well as learning new techniques in class. Demos will be available in each class displaying new forms and approaches to working in clay. Handbuilding techniques that will be discussed in class are slab building, coiling, drape, and slump molds. Glazing and color will also be explored in this class with cone 5 glazes, lusters, paper transfers, and decals. Students may bring a project they are working on or it can be a space to help generate new ideas.   Bring your creativity!

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced 

Clay Request: *If clay is not requested it will be assumed that no clay is needed.
