DW-44-19 Ceramic Foundations: Color & Texture with Danielle Wood



In this class, students will focus on building the foundations of their ceramic vocabulary in clay. In class they will learn a variety of techniques including slab, pinch pots, coil pots, using press, and drape molds. The demonstrations and techniques discussed in class will have an emphasis on texture and color in regards to the wide variety of glazes available. Projects will include the focus of texture and color to highlight those concepts, which are strengths to use and explore in clay. The basics of handbuilding will be covered in this course, there is also the option of exploring wheel throwing and learning those basics as well. Students should bring their enthusiasm and creativity. The possibilities are endless!

Clay Request:

*If clay is not requested it will be assumed that no clay is needed.
