Entries are now being accepted online for the Reflections of Arizona Exhibition to be displayed at the Shemer Art Center June 23-August 4, 2016.  We would like to invite all Arizona artists over the age of 18 to enter this exhibition, to be juried by Constance McBride!

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:

This exhibition, open to any and all media, will feature selected works in a variety of media that have a visual or conceptual expression of the natural world of Arizona and its essential role in the Arizona experience. Art work can reflect the beauty of Arizona, expressions of nature or personal reflections of Arizona.

ENTRY FEES:

Shemer Member: (see discounts under Membership on prospectus)

Non-Member: $25 for one entry, $30 for two entries, $35 for three.  Entry fees are non-refundable.  Your entry will not be submitted to the Juror until payment has been made.

ABOUT THE JUROR:

Constance McBride received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. Her work has been featured in Vasi Hirdo’s Ceramics Now, Paperclay Art and Practice by Rosette Gault, and Who’s Afraid of Feminism, authored by Women’s Caucus for Art.  Recent exhibitions include solo shows in Phoenix, group exhibitions throughout the US, including the Las Cruces Museum of Art in NM, The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts in TX, and the Udinotti Museum of Figurative Art in AZ. In 2014, she was named one of the top 100 CREATIVES in the city by the Phoenix New Times.  In 2015 her solo exhibition “Place Out of Time” was named one of the 10 best art shows in the Phoenix Metro Area. In 2016 she received a grant from the Contemporary Forum, a key support organization for the Phoenix Art Museum. Her work can be found in private collections around the country.
