Intermediate and Advanced Wheel Throwing with Stephen Bunyard

Let’s make better pots! Students will focus on making the most of their clay with efficient throwing techniques, moving on to more advanced forms. This class will be a great opportunity for students to learn about the fine details that will define their work, with emphasis on aspects of alteration and decoration. They will learn more about glazing and how choices made when forming can enhance the glazing, and how to build a body of work. There will be class discussion about the importance of documenting work and students will get a chance to photograph finished artwork, and most importantly have a fun time being creative!

Stephen Bunyard is an experienced potter making wheel-thrown work in porcelain. Best known for his illustrated work and sake sets, he puts the fun in the fundamentals. He loves sharing his experiences in clay and mentoring other potters.
