Oil Painting 101 with Patrice Al-Shatti

Explore the beautiful and forgiving medium of oil paint. This class is designed for those who are new to oil painting. Students will experiment with brushes and three different methods for completing a painting, mix colors, work with values, and learn how to handle the materials with ease and safety. Almost nothing looks as lustrous or last as long as an oil painting, and by the time this course is over, everyone will have an idea of the working methods they most enjoy, to better direct them in further study and hone their artistic voice. Class supplies will be provided for a modest supply fee so there is no risk for trying something new.
