HYBRID CLASS: GLAZE INTENSIVE with Danielle Wood *

In this class, students will have the opportunity to learn more about glazes and glazing. Students will explore low fire, mid-range cone 5/6 glazes, and lusters at cone 018. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of glazes, combining them together, using test pieces and test tiles to create a palette of glazes for each student. This class will be a great opportunity for students to develop a palette of signature colors for their work. This class will also teach hand-building techniques, working with slabs, pinch pots, coil pots, press molds and pillow forms for glazing. Techniques and project ideas will be demonstrated in class, but students may also bring current projects on which they would like to work.

Skill Level: Some Ceramic Experience Encouraged
