INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED POTTERY with Anne Rasmussen
With the basics of throwing under your belt Intermediate students will be encouraged to push their boundaries. A focus on being able to throw more complicated forms such as amphora, sectionals, chargers, and teapots; as well as general sizes and shapes that may lie outside the student’s comfort zone. Pushing these boundaries will help build upon the skills of the potter and increase confidence to pursue more ambitious projects.
Students on the advanced track will be encouraged to work on finding and expanding their artistic voice; the things that make their pottery unique and personal. In this class students will be encouraged to explore and expand their body of work, pushing boundaries, and continuing to learn additional techniques. Students will work one-on-one with the instructor to establish personal goals and milestones related to their pottery and work as an artist.
