Southwest MicroLiving, the fifth event of its type held at the Shemer Art Center, was held to showcase the latest trends in artistic design and architecture.  It also created an artistic challenge that led to the participation of leading college students and builders of various micro housing and garden structures coming together to showcase their works.

This juried exhibition of 10 tiny home and garden structures was on display each weekend (Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) from February 17 to March 11, and attendees had the chance to tour the Micro Dream Street and be part of a larger festival that also celebrated sustainability and featured micro art, micro gardening, and micro brews, plus showcased Arizona artists, art demonstrations, presentations, live music, food & business vendors, and a micro-art raffle!  Admission was $10 per person, $20 per family and we had nearly 2,500 people attend.

The 2019 event is expected to draw 4,000 people (1,000 people per weekend).  For more information about participating as a builder, vendor or artist, call (602) 262-4727 or email info@shemerartcenter.org.

This event is a fundraising event for the Shemer Art Center & Museum Association, Inc., a 501c(3) non-profit organization.
