Artist Statement

After receiving a BA in Business at Michigan State University, Cathy headed west to Los Angeles, California. She began a career in publishing that took her around the world. Happily she was exposed to many cultures, many styles of art and a world of design. During this time she continued to take art classes from many different teachers and was exposed to many different types of art which she continues to work in today. Including oil painting, weaving, ceramics, encaustic. pastels, jewelry making, alcohol ink and cold wax. All of the travel and world exposure she brings to her art and fills her art with color and fun, a reflection of her personality. Bennett has been involved in art shows, galleries, exhibitions and one woman shows.
